Assistive Technology helps to get the driving licence

No doubt - with a driving licence people have a better chance of integration into the labour market.

This is particularly true with regard to people with disabilities: having a driving licence increases their chances of getting a job.

For this reason the CJD (Christliches Jugenddorfwerk Deutschlands e.V.) Homburg works in close cooperation with a driving school that addresses to young people with different disabilities.Besides special support for theoretical instruction young people get practical training with the in-house driving simulator. It allows intensive coaching under realistic conditions and reduces fears.

The coaching is offered to young peope with learning disabilities as well as for physically or mentally handicapped persons.
